WEIRD: Because Normal Isn't Working

Description

Normal people are stressed, overwhelmed, and exhausted. Many of their relationships are, at best, strained and, in most cases, just surviving. Even though we live in one of the most prosperous places on earth, normal is still living paycheck to paycheck and never getting ahead. In our oversexed world, lust, premarital sex, guilt, and shame are far more common than purity, virginity, and a healthy married sex life. And when it comes to God, the majority believe in him, but the teachings of scripture rarely make it into their everyday lives. Simply put, normal isn't working. Groeschel's WEIRD views will help you break free from the norm to lead a radically abnormal (and endlessly more fulfilling) life.

Only God can measure all the stuff we desire to measure

That effectively means not everything can be measured.  In which case, you rely on what can be currently measured for your judgments and stay blissfully happy and cover your ignorance with actor-worthy confidence.

Or, you observe meticulously, and add to the current measurements or replace the current measurements with better measurements and move closer to perfect judgments.

I said 'closer'. How 'close'? Alas, you'll never be able to measure.

But if you take time and give space, you might just be able to feel it all and that might be the best measurement.

Talking excitedly

is often mistaken for the 'energy to execute'.

I've seen this in myself. There have been numerous occasions when I've talked so excitedly about something and on the next update I had nothing to show for all the talk.

Energy to talk excitedly is momentary. Excitement during execution and steadfastness in execution span far greater time and require a different nature of energy, a different reserve of energy.

I'm afraid there aren't too many indicators to feel the latter.
